The Yaris Separatist movement of 2021. I assume any useful threads from that other place will still be archived somewhere online and the replacement owners won’t delete/ wipe the message boards?

Would be interesting to see how the VS acquisition will pan out. Of course, since it is a commercial venture, there is likely to be zero interest in the forum or content that interests members. I am all for paying a membership fee, but the running of such operations needs to be done by enthusiasts of the marque, not an outfit that is purely in to make a return. Cannot see it actually working, unless of course, they free-load off moderators/admins who are enthusiasts!

Thats pretty much it. Ads and vendor subs all supported by free content by the users, moderated for free. Not my cup of char...

As I said elsewhere Im happy to create content for free to give back for all the good the net has done me over the years, but not be taken advantage of. Sadly Ive been round that loop plenty of times before. sigh.

The focusrsoc was a forum where the technical section was only accessible by paid membership.
Earlier this year the forum was changed and the technical section became free
Much to the annoyance of paid members

Wow, I didn't know that! Glad I had stopped paying the £10 now. :) The Mk3 section is pretty dead now, wonder if the scrapping of the fee was in response to hugely declining traffic?

Just reading what the admin said about focusrsoc just says it all really.
